PARS at Arden

As my wider school focus this year I will be working to move Arden School towards e-registration using PARS and looking at the benifits to classroom teachers from using the system.

As I work though the project, my progress and thoughts will be updated here.

Outcomes: Report with overview of software functionality prepared, with focus on features especially useful to staff
Milestone Objective: Review of ICT infrastructure
End date: 30 April Review Date: 07 April
Outcomes: Clear map of ICT provision made with support technicians to see what further provision is required.
Milestone Objective: Identification and training of “super users”
End date: 09 June Review: 29 May
Actions: Teachers with skill in ICT trained to help others with PARS, work together to prepare training for other staff
Outcomes: Small group of teachers with high skill level to support in next phases, high quality training prepared
Milestone Objective: limited test of e-registration
End date 30 june Review: 16 June
Actions: one or two large depts (~20% of school) to trial e-reg for 2 weeks
Outcomes: Feasability , challenges and difficulties identified.
Milestone Objective: inset training of all teaching staff/cover supervisors
End date: 14 july Review: 03 July
Actions: Small group sessions with “super Users” training other staff
Outcomes: All teachers have good working knowledge of PARS system
Milestone Objective: Roll-out to whole school in new year

Actions: All staff use e-registers on a lesson-by-lesson basis
